Old World 3rd Street Tour
Where Milwaukee’s Roots Meet Modern-Day Delights
Walking Tour
Dairyland Delights
Welcome to Wisconsin, the Dairy State! Old German traditions meet delicious new delights on this 3 hour walking food tour through the Deer District, along Milwaukee’s Riverwalk and on Old World 3rd Street. Your guide will bring to life the stories of the first waves of immigrants to call Wisconsin home while sharing the culture and traditions you can still see reflected in Milwaukee today. On this tour you’ll experience the culinary heritage first hand while also learning how innovation meets tradition from local food and beverage producers while enjoying stops that add up to a generous meal. Visit a cheese store and dive into an array of samples including Wisconsin’s squeakiest cheese curds. Walk down Old World 3rd Street where the architecture and highlights of the city’s German heritage are on full display, a hot bratwurst fresh from the grill with a side of Wisconsin-brewed beer is an absolute must. Visit the 3rd Street Market Hall and taste for yourself why we mean it when we call it a Butter Burger. Say “Cheese” with a photo stop at Fiserv Forum and the home to the World Champion Milwaukee Bucks. And wind your way through the district to reach the sweet ending of our tour – custard – where we’ll prove why Milwaukee is indeed the Custard Capital of the World.
